Xiaomi had an exclusive experience in Cordoba to test the Xiaomi 17 Ultra.Great food and photography come together to create a unique day.And all this with the help of PhotoESPAÑA
When Xiaomi launches a new series of terminals, it is not enough to send a press release. It's not enough that a brand can hold a launch event for tech-savvy editors to evaluate their new smartphones.Xiaomi presents each of its series with unique experiences that aim to ensure that the technology and quality of its products reach the whole world. And this time, at the launch event of the Xiaomi 17 series, the chosen place was Córdoba and the sun, 24 hours in which photography, haute cuisine and the size of the city created an unforgettable memory.
And where we found ourselves, on March 17, we have our Xiaomi 17 Ultra in our hands. In some cases inexperienced hands, in others very experienced. And Xiaomi wasn't the only one.On the one hand, Leica joins the collaboration between the two brands that started in 2022 and offers the seal of quality of its lenses. And on the other hand, PhotoESPAÑA, one of the biggest photography and visual art events in the world, where Xiaomi has made an alliance to show that the smartphone has become an important tool for creating art.
It was half past three in the afternoon and Xiaomi could not have chosen a better place to start such a special day: Chef Paco Morales welcomed us to his three Michelin star restaurant Noor, as the hero of his new (and first) photo match.
Eat with light
For three years, Xiaomi has given new meaning to the concept of food with eyes. This revolution in the culinary sector consists of creating a photographic duo through which pictures tell the story of food, giving new meaning to the tasting experience and exploring the relationship between technology and haute cuisine.
The event materialized again at Noor restaurant, where chef Paco Morales designed a tasting menu that featured his Karim de Pistachio dish – green apple, habanero chili and herring roe – which had its own photo pairing by photographer Javier Salas. His gastronomic proposal was based on the historical cuisine of Al-Andalus and was accompanied by a narrative series that pays tribute to this country.
1 "The baker leaves his warm bed at 5 o'clock in the morning."
The cuisine of Paco Morales is inspired by his city, Córdoba. In its culture, its history, its streets and its aromas.Like the smell of freshly baked bread.Javier Salas, for his part, sought a way to recreate this strong aesthetic piece that the chef has.
2 "The 1300-year-old foundation marks a flavor that continues to this day"
Noor অন্ত্রাম্চায়য়্য়াক্যান্য়্য.Forgiveness Door of Forgiveness Door of Forgiveness Door of ForgivenessForgiveness Door of Forgiveness Door of Forgiveness Door of Forgiveness Door of Forgiveness Door of Forgiveness Door of Forgiveness Door of Forgiveness Door of Forgiveness Door of Forgiveness.
3 "The countryside shows the steps of the people in search of liquid gold"
Javier Salas has mixed colors with geometric and Andalusian elements to deliver his photographic vision for this dish. And of course the nightlife couldn't be missing.I think it's terribly innovative that they can see and feel it before they sit down at my table, says the chef.
This new edition continues Xiaomi's dedication to its relationship with great cuisine.More than eight chefs with more than 18 Michelin stars have already collaborated on the project, and Xiaomi is also a sponsor of the Michelin Gala.Javier Corso was the photographer who took the first few photos with Chef Begon Rodrigo at his restaurant La Salita in Valencia.we were able to see everything the Xiaomi 17 Ultra can do when it comes to low-light street photography.
Córdoba and the Mosque-Cathedral, muses at night
As evening fell, the darkness of the last hours of the day did not detract from the majesty of the city, its mosque and its cathedral. But it presented a challenge: could we minimize the capabilities of the device and its Leica optics in low light conditions? The location was perfect, and Javier Corso, associated with PHOtoESPAÑA, allowed us to participate in an immersive experience that became a hands-on night session. The goal was to capture the magic of the city through photography and immortalize every moment, from walking through its streets to ... Unexpected.
In low light conditions, the contrast of light and shade of Córdoba and its monuments allowed the excellence of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra to be shown: its advanced details, chromatic accuracy and high performance thanks to its Leica lenses.Images, which allow us to capture the dark even better.
The photographer sees the Xiaomi 17 Ultra as a logical evolution in relation to the previous terminal Xiaomi 15 Ultra; He confirms that everything that already stands out in that range, such as low-light mobility and shooting speed, is even better: "In the end, we're talking about cutting-edge technology that improves every year. If you're dealing with situations where things happen quickly in front of the lens, the phone resolves them well, and in that sense, it performs well."
Javier Corso gives a very positive value to the opportunity to walk through the streets of a special and unique place like Córdoba, to share his experience and with a group of people who are interested in learning how to get the most out of the new Xiaomi 17 Ultra: "Photographs are not created through the camera, but from the mind and eyes of the photographer. Therefore, in street photography and travel, locations, diagonals, backgrounds, backgrounds, backgrounds are very important;
After a guided tour of the almost empty Mosque-Cathedral at night, the day ended in a square like it could not have been otherwise in Cordoba. This time, he participated in the sharing of music, photography and gastronomy, ending a perfect and unforgettable day for those who were able to enjoy it.What will be the next stop?Undoubtedly Xiaomi will surprise us again soon.
